Global Games Sports (globalgamessports.com), the sports experience consultancy, generously provided SKRUM with two inflatables for the Rosslyn Park HSBC National Schools Rugby Sevens this year which proved very popular with all the boys, a few girls and some of the coaches!
The Line Out inflatable was very popular and all the players enjoyed practising their throws.
A competition was run on the Passing inflatable and some 250 players entered this contest in various categories – under 13, under 16, under 18 and there was even a group of coaches and older people who wanted to have a go! There were prizes for the top five scores for each category – two tickets to the Premiership Rugby Sevens for each of the 5 winners and many of the boys kept returning to see if they could beat their score. With 8 balls to play, the maximum scores for the week were: Hugh Hamilton Green from Blunders School (with 100), Ben from Gordons (100), James Botham from Sedburgh (100) and Alan White from St. Georges College Weybridge (125) although he was one of the coaches!
And the staff from the Edwin Doran tent also enjoyed having a go during the quiet moments first thing in the morning!
